News 3D Printer Ilios Ray

I am happy to announce the new 3D printer called Ilios Ray. Based on the feedback from current Ilios users as well as thinking completely outside the box, the 3D printer has been completely redesigned and fitted with features any other 3D printer would only dream about :)

The main idea behind Ilios Ray was to create a completely automated 3D printing experience where the resin is filled automatically, mixed with the pigments of your choice to create any color needed and after the build is done, remove the model automatically while Post-Curing it. All this is done inside the Slim body of the machine which can expand and collapse. The Ilios Ray 3D printer can clean it self through its liquid distribution system as well as fill up its cartridges with new resin or other chemical.

In essence the machine is a completely automated 3D printing laboratory, slimmer than any other 3D printer and yet can produce models within a very large build volume of 297 x 211 x 300mm, which is equivalent of an A4 x A4 paper size.

For more information about Ilios Ray, please visit the Ilios 3D Printer website and check out the Detailed description for the machine.

OSRC on IndieGoGo

Just seems like a real shame to let OSRC go without a fight, after so much work and effort. I will attempt to create one last campaign for OSRC on IndieGoGo to try and collect the funds for production. There are over 1300 likes on the Facebook page so with a 10 EU commitment it should be enough to make a really small batch to begin selling the system.

What i can promise is that the final product shall not look anything like the prototype, will be built completely through 3D printing and affordable materials and will be affordable as a basic Modular setup under the 400 EU mark or close to it, which will give you the basic remote control features along with the framework to upgrade for something more advanced in the future.

The design shall be constructed in such a way so that anyone can build through 3D printing and electronics their own version or add components to the existing system. Naturally all new designs shall be posted on the site which shall be redone specifically for OSRC.

The OSRC project has been very dear to me and truly a complex design in its nature. I've been hoping to get the funds from Ilios 3D printer sales to begin making it but unfortunately in these times it turned out harder than i thought.

The OSRC project is terminated

The OSRC project was created almost 4 years ago and my intent was to create a control platform which would help all remote control users in many different fields. Trying to keep the project alive, especially during the economic state the world is in right now has not been easy and at times seemed impossible. My last hope for project funding was the Hack A Day contest, which unfortunately did not choose OSRC among the winners. Based on these news and lack of any funding, i am shutting down the project and any files related to it.
