OSRC on IndieGoGo

Just seems like a real shame to let OSRC go without a fight, after so much work and effort. I will attempt to create one last campaign for OSRC on IndieGoGo to try and collect the funds for production. There are over 1300 likes on the Facebook page so with a 10 EU commitment it should be enough to make a really small batch to begin selling the system.

What i can promise is that the final product shall not look anything like the prototype, will be built completely through 3D printing and affordable materials and will be affordable as a basic Modular setup under the 400 EU mark or close to it, which will give you the basic remote control features along with the framework to upgrade for something more advanced in the future.

The design shall be constructed in such a way so that anyone can build through 3D printing and electronics their own version or add components to the existing system. Naturally all new designs shall be posted on the site which shall be redone specifically for OSRC.

The OSRC project has been very dear to me and truly a complex design in its nature. I've been hoping to get the funds from Ilios 3D printer sales to begin making it but unfortunately in these times it turned out harder than i thought.

The OSRC project is terminated

The OSRC project was created almost 4 years ago and my intent was to create a control platform which would help all remote control users in many different fields. Trying to keep the project alive, especially during the economic state the world is in right now has not been easy and at times seemed impossible. My last hope for project funding was the Hack A Day contest, which unfortunately did not choose OSRC among the winners. Based on these news and lack of any funding, i am shutting down the project and any files related to it.

After it was announced that OSRC shall be entering the Hack A Day contest, there weren't any updates, so i thought of posting some news to summarize what has been happening in the OSRC world :) I am happy to say that OSRC has been selected among other 49 projects in the Semifinal round, out of 800 projects in total. This was really good news, especially since my birthday was on the 29th of August, so i couldn't of asked for a better present. The Finalists shall be announced on the 28th of September so i am trying to obey the rules of the contest and post all that is required.

Although the contest it self has many requirements related to those who are just starting their project, with things like describing the concept, doing a sketch for the prototype and other data, i do try and re-post everything as it is needed since OSRC has been in development for quite some time.
