Semifinals

After it was announced that OSRC shall be entering the Hack A Day contest, there weren't any updates, so i thought of posting some news to summarize what has been happening in the OSRC world :) I am happy to say that OSRC has been selected among other 49 projects in the Semifinal round, out of 800 projects in total. This was really good news, especially since my birthday was on the 29th of August, so i couldn't of asked for a better present. The Finalists shall be announced on the 28th of September so i am trying to obey the rules of the contest and post all that is required.

Although the contest it self has many requirements related to those who are just starting their project, with things like describing the concept, doing a sketch for the prototype and other data, i do try and re-post everything as it is needed since OSRC has been in development for quite some time.

All you need to do is vote for the project. It seems only reasonable to enter the Hack A Day contest since the prize money would be more than enough to make OSRC affordable enough and available for everyone. Since there is nothing else required, besides you voting for the project, this is the best solution to just support OSRC with a simple click and sit back.

Now or Never

Finally you get a chance to Pre-Order your very own OSRC system. The title pretty much says it all but continue reading, to understand the plan and how this will be done. So far, Ilios, the 3D printer i am working on every day, allowed me to pay the bills and became my day job. Although the initial idea was to save up founds to proceed with OSRC, due to the financial state and many personal reasons i haven't been able to save much for the actual OSRC production and have been trying to simply finalize the design and move slowly as the budget and time allow it.

The funds i try and collect for OSRC simply don't reach the required amount since every month other obligations come along, bills need to be paid and whatever is left simply covers whatever expenses there are during a quiet period during Ilios sales. Unfortunately, without a proper push to make the project a reality i really can't do much.
